The United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals, of which there are 17, were adopted by 193 member states (including Malaysia) of the United Nations in 2015.
● Increase efficiency and cost effectiveness,
● Reduce dependency on natural resources and pressure on the environment,
● Address climate change
● Establish a more innovative and competitive economy
● Create new opportunities for green growth

For information on Malaysia’s specific goals with regards to all 17 SDGs, the Department of Statistics Malaysia has a dedicated website on the latest assessments and indicators towards a Sustainable Malaysia in 2030. For the purpose of this article, InvestKL will highlight two key SDGs
