Air Liquide inaugurates new Head Office for its Malaysia operations

KUALA LUMPUR, 9 February 2022: Air Liquide is building its presence in Malaysia with a new Head Office in 1Power House, Bandar Utama. It will host a total of 450 employees from Air Liquide Malaysia and Cryogenic Tank Services which support the local operations in Malaysia, and APAC Global Services (AGS) head office.

Entering into Malaysia in 1927, Air Liquide’s early operations focused on supporting local industry, providing an array of industrial and medical gases, and engineering services. In recent years, its operations in Malaysia have diversified and grown exponentially, beginning with the addition of the Smart Innovative Operations Centre in 2018, which enables remote management of production Air Liquide Large Industries production units spanning eight countries across the region.

The inauguration of the new head office which was attended by the Deputy Minister of Ministry of International Trade & Industry, YB Senator Datuk Lim Ban Hong and the French Ambassador, His Excellency Roland Galharague marks the continued development of AGS in Malaysia, which provides Shared Services for Air Liquide entities across more than 14 countries in Asia Pacific. The choice of Malaysia to host these key operations allows Air Liquide to tap on the vast digital infrastructure and vibrant talent pool that the country offers to support the region.

The 36,100 sqm office is designed to accommodate this continued rapid growth in Malaysia and will optimise agile working and collaboration as Air Liquide continues to grow its operations in Malaysia to support both its local and regional operations.
