Sunnyvale, California, 9 April - A Malaysian delegation from the Ministry of International Trade and Industry and its agencies, led by Deputy Secretary-General Dato Sri Norazman Ayob, visited the headquarters of LinkedIn, the world’s largest professional network, in Sunnyvale, California today.
The visit was hosted by Dan Shapero, Head of Global Solutions and other senior management executives from LinkedIn. Among the officials accompanying the Minister are Datuk Zainal Amanshah, CEO of InvestKL and Datuk Azman Mahmud, CEO of MIDA.
During this visit, the delegation was presented with a unique overview on how LinkedIn can support the Malaysian government to achieve its key policy and economic objectives through its products and solutions, with a focus on LinkedIn Learning and harnessing LinkedIn data insights.
“Having the correct set of talent is important for the economic growth of any country. LinkedIn’s capabilities will help the government’s push to embrace Industry 4.0. I am happy LinkedIn is setting up their office in KL and InvestKL will be ready to assist them”, said InvestKL CEO Datuk Zainal Amanshah.
LinkedIn announced in December that they will be opening their office in Kuala Lumpur to serve more than four million members in the country and to support small and medium businesses in the Asia Pacific region.
The visit concluded with a full tour of the headquarters in Silicon Valley.
