Company Criteria

Invest KL's focus is on attracting large global multinationals such as Fortune 500 and Forbes 2000 companies to set up their regional business, innovation and talent hubs in Greater Kuala Lumpur and strategically grow their business in Asia.

In Malaysia, these MNCs must fulfill the following criteria:

  • Local incorporation under the Companies Act 1965
  • A sizeable network of companies outside Malaysia which includes the parent company or its head office and related companies
  • Serve at least five related companies outside Malaysia
  • Substantial employment of highly qualified professionals, technical and supporting personnel
