InvestKL is tasked by the Malaysian Government to attract 100 of the world’s largest multinationals to invest in the Greater Kuala Lumpur by 2020 With more than 22 years of experience in the private sector and 4 years in Government, Datuk Zainal has held senior positions in multinationals, Malaysian companies, start-ups and now, InvestKL. Prior to joining InvestKL, he was the Group CEO of REDtone, a Malaysian public listed telecommunications provider. He was also one of the company’s founders. In the course of his career, Datuk Zainal has familiarised himself with many industries such as banking, insurance, oil & gas, automotive and manufacturing. He is also well versed with the public sector especially with regards to foreign investment. He sits in the Investment Committee under MITI and PEMANDU, the Greater KL Steering Committee and Pemudah–DBKL Steering Committee. She started her career with Alcatel (public listed MNC) in 1993 as a software engineer and has taken other important local/regional roles in engineering, project management, solutions consultancy and sales within the organization. Her final position in Alcatel-Lucent was a Senior Account Manager for Telekom Malaysia, Konsortium Rangkaian Serantau and other telcos. In the course of her career, Pauline has been seconded to a few countries namely France, Singapore and Philippines. She was selected to attend the High Potential (2% population) program organized by Alcatel-Lucent (Stretch, Boost) and was part of the top 20 APAC women's list. After having practiced as an advocate and solicitor for 5 years, he joined Prokhas (a consulting firm of the Ministry of Finance) in 2006 as a management consultant and embarked on 2 major business process reengineering projects; handling contracts negotiation, business analysis and assist in stakeholders’ management. Riyadh then headed the legal advisory department managing the departments’ SOPs, risk reporting, project reporting, business development, client management, providing legal advisory to both profit and cost centres of the company, assisting in matters relating to risk management and also advised the Government of Malaysia in various projects including the Bakun Hydroelectric Dam, the Second Penang Bridge and also the Klang Valley Mass Rapid Transit Project. She has served The Ministry of Transport (MOT), Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) and prior to joining the team, she was with the Ministry of Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism (MDTCC). Her portfolios include areas in human resource, training and development, maritime safety and security, economic and trade relations, entrepreneurial development and distributive trade.
